Refund & Returns Policy

This Refund & Returns Policy is governed by the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (CPA) of South Africa.

1. General Return Policy (CPA Cooling-Off Right – Online Purchases)

In terms of Section 44 of the CPA (Electronic Transactions), customers who purchase goods online have the right to cancel their order within 7 days after delivery.

To qualify:

  • The item must be unused.
  • The item must be returned in its original condition and packaging.
  • Proof of purchase is required.
  • The customer is responsible for return shipping costs unless the goods were defective or incorrectly supplied.

2. Defective or Damaged Goods (CPA Section 56)

If goods are defective, unsafe, or not of good quality, you may return them within 6 months of delivery.

You are entitled to:

  • A repair, or
  • A replacement, or
  • A full refund

The choice of remedy rests with the customer.

If the product fails again within 3 months after repair, you may request a replacement or refund.


3. Non-Returnable Items

The following items may not be returned unless defective:

  • Custom-made or specially manufactured products
  • Goods altered or modified to customer specifications
  • Used goods not in original condition
  • Goods damaged due to misuse or negligence
  • Hazardous or fuel-related products once installed or used

4. Refund Process

Once the returned item is received and inspected:

  • We will notify you of approval or rejection.
  • Approved refunds will be processed within 7–14 business days.
  • Refunds will be made to the original method of payment.
  • Shipping costs are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error.

5. Exchanges

We replace items only if they are defective or damaged.

6. Return Shipping

Customers are responsible for return shipping unless:

  • The item was defective,
  • The incorrect item was supplied, or
  • The item was damaged during delivery.

We recommend using a trackable courier service for high-value items.


7. Custom & Large Items

For custom-built units, container conversions, portable cabins, or heavy equipment:

  • Deposits may be non-refundable once production has commenced.
  • Returns are not accepted on custom-manufactured items unless defective.

Additional Refund & Return Terms

Overview

Our refund and returns policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have passed since your purchase, we cannot offer you a full refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return:

  • Your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it.
  • It must also be in the original packaging.

Several types of goods are exempt from being returned, including:

  • Perishable goods such as food, flowers, newspapers, or magazines
  • Intimate or sanitary goods
  • Hazardous materials
  • Flammable liquids or gases

Additional Non-Returnable Items

  • Gift cards
  • Downloadable software products
  • Some health and personal care items

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

Partial Refunds

  • Any item damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error

Refunds

Sale Items

Only regular-priced items may be refunded. Sale items cannot be refunded.


Gifts

If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you may receive a gift credit for the value of your return.

If the item was not marked as a gift, the refund will be sent to the original purchaser.
